Botox has truly revolutionized the field of cosmetic dermatology by providing a safe and effective way to reduce expression lines of the upper face with minimal downtime.

Many wrinkles are caused by repeated contraction of facial muscles, which cause creases in the skin that gradually deepen over time. Botox is injected into these underlying muscles and works by blocking the nerve impulse to the muscle, thereby weakening the muscle. By relaxing the muscles that cause these lines, the creases themselves will soften and can often even disappear.  Botox is especially helpful for those habitual frowners and squinters who often appear stressed when they are actually just concentrating.  Botox can weaken those overactive facial muscles and break the habit of frowning.  Results are dramatic but appear natural, giving you a relaxed appearance that can last for 3-5 months.  There is usually no downtime aside from occasional small areas of bruising from the needle.  Additional information regarding Botox is available at

Soft Tissue Fillers
Now there is a new generation of fillers that have become FDA approved over the last several years. These products can be used not only to fill lines and wrinkles, but actually help rejuvenate, volumize and restore the face to a natural, more youthful appearance.
Juvéderm Ultra and Juvéderm Ultra Plus
Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid-containing dermal filler that is an injectable gel offering a safe and effective nonsurgical option for smoothing facial wrinkles and folds, usually in the lower half of the face.

Restylane and Perlane
Restylane and Perlane are hyaluronic acid containing dermal fillers that help restore youthful contours and smooth away wrinkles and folds of the lower face.

Intense Pulsed Light

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a non-ablative technology that emits light across a spectrum of wavelengths to lighten brown spots and red spots on the skin. This does not change texture only sun related appearance.

Sclerotherapy is a quick non-surgical procedure that treats unsightly spider veins of the legs.  This method involves injecting the vein with a specialized agent called a sclerosant.
